Join BioID for the Long Night of Sciences on May 21st, 2022!
Have you ever wondered how facial biometrics works? Or what biometric liveness detection is? Or whether biometric developers are really nerds? If so, now you will have the opportunity to find the answers yourself!
BioID is excited to announce, that we are participating once again in the Long Night of Sciences in Nuremberg, which will take place on May 21st, 2022. This year, we are pleased to finally welcome you back to our office here in Nuremberg.
What is the Long Night of Sciences about?
The Long Night of Sciences is an event taking place for the 10th time in the regions of Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen in Germany. Scientific institutions like universities, museums or technological companies are opening their doors to the general public to showcase their latest achievements in research and development. With more than 25,000 visitors and more than 300 institutions participating, the Long Night of Science is the largest Long Night of its kind in Germany.
Everyone interested in science and technology can join tours to visit institutions, and attend a wide range of interesting presentations, exhibitions and experiments for only a small fee for the tickets. Registration is not necessary.
Experience BioID’s Program for the Night
We at BioID will open our doors for everyone to witness the advancements of “Biometrics made in Nuremberg”. Visitors can attend interactive sessions on our developments as well as informative presentations on AI and deep-learning:
- Open doors from 6pm to 12am
- Presentations at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 10pm and 11:30pm
Interested in spoofing biometric liveness detection? Visitors can bring their own masks or any other conceivable spoofing ideas and give them a try at our Demonstration Station. Or have fun at our Deepfake Station, where they can create deepfakes with their own face.
Presentations are the highlights of the night, our CTO, Dr. Robert Frischholz will give insights into “Artificial Intelligence in Facial Recognition“, whereas our Deep Learning Expert Armin Zoike will focus on Deepfakes and how Artificial Intelligence is the Problem and the Solution. All presentations are tailored to an audience of all knowledge levels.
Apart from that, one of BioID’s partners will be showcasing a Photobooth powered by BioID’s technology for automatically creating ICAO- compliant biometric passport photos. Visitors can have their ID photos created and taken home for free.
