Public safety solutions
Criminal and terrorist activity and the increasing sophistication of forged documents are driving demand for biometric passports, also known as e-passports, as well as other ID documents. In particular, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has, since the September 11 terrorist attack, recommended guidelines for data quality, followed by the necessary biometric standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
