EMBASSI

BioID has been involved in the research project EMBASSI founded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

EMBASSI is a German acronym for "Multimodal Assistance for Infotainment and Service Infrastructures". The project addresses innovative methods of man-machine interaction. It is a joint research project with 19 industrial and academic partners, among others Daimler Chrysler, Siemens, Sony, and several Fraunhofer Institutes.

BioID was responsible for including biometric person recognition in EMBASSI to allow user-specific man-machine communication. Furthermore, BioID supplied technical components for non-intrusive gaze tracking.
