BITE

BioID was involved in the research project BITE founded by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission.

BITE an acronym for "Biometric Identification Technology Ethics". The BITE project offers a unique combination of academic centres, industries, and international organizations with the aim to help industry and researchers to confront ethical issues that arise in biometrics. The project is coordinated by Prof. Emilio Mordini, director of the Centre for Science, Society and Citizenship (Rome).

BioID was one of two biometric vendors in this project, especially responsible for multimodal biometrics.
